Lyvia Tzamali (b. 1990) is a multidisciplinary fine artist working across ceramics, painting and textiles. Her current practice centres on vessels as symbolic containers for memory, exclusion and the unseen; exploring how objects can hold emotional, psychological and cultural residue.

Drawing from her lived experience of migration at a formative age, Tzamali’s work highlights recurring motifs such as vases, houses, birds, suns and flowers as representation for core memories. Her Vessel forms often contain apertures, pockets or hidden interiors that suggest parallel worlds , spaces and thresholds of transition.

Now returned permanently to continue her work in Athens, Greece, Tzamali’s (née Aylward-Davies)’ practice is informed by a long standing relationship to place and cultural inheritance.
